But what struck me was that when Bush was told about the 9/11 he just sat there continuing reading "Mary had a little lamb"
I am only a nurse and a crisis response nurse but even so when I am notified of a crisis even a made man on ward with a machette I am immediatley taking action askin who what where why when and what actions and resources we have.
I have never sat wondering what to do wishing I was some where else reading a nursery ryhm.
McCain to old and cannot keep up or be quick and effective enough. I do not want another president who needs someone else to feed him his lines. God bless and respect the man but he will not keep up. "Crisis? What Crisis? was his response on a question about the credit crunch.
Don't need someone who "sees no ships." O'bama can keep up and understands the situation overall.
Current situation needs a man with vigour and new insight. cannot stay where we have been for the last 8 years. Pursuing the same policies will just mean worse. Not a good place for any man to take over.
Good luck. |
Junie!!! YOU - a fellow-admirer of Nelson putting someone down for NOT panicking? If you admire the Real Nelson then you must also admire the fictional Hornblower, yes? Where in any of C.S. Forester's books does it say that a leader gains respect by ...When in Trouble When in Doubt, run in Circles, Scream and Shout?
Just think of the trauma of those little kids seeing the President of the U.S. running out to Air Force One like a chicken with his head cut off???
Seriously, I've always thought he showed great restraint in that moment - that it was an action to be admired.
Just my take. :^)
